It’s common to get stuck every now and then. Here is a list of helpful questions to ask yourself and/or your team to help get unstuck.

There are some obvious questions you could ask like “are we stuck?”, “why are we stuck?” and “how do we make sure we don’t get stuck like this again?”. But below is a more generative and open list that can hopefully inject some creative energy into the situation.

• if you were to start again from scratch, what would you do?
• if you were to compete with yourself, what would you do?
• if you had infinite capital, what would you do?
• if you had no capital, what would you do?
• what is the dumbest possible thing you could do?
• what is the riskiest possible thing you could do?
• what is the safest possible thing you could do?
• what is the most ambitious possible thing you could do?
• what is the funniest possible thing you could do?
• what is the most fun thing you could do?
• what is the absolute smallest possible thing you could do?
• what is the absolute largest possible thing you could do?
• if you had to commit to only one metric or granular goal for a year straight what would it be?
• if you had to remove one thing what would you remove?
• if you had to remove everything but one thing what would you remove?
• if you only had a year to build and the product remains fixed for 10 years, what would you do?
• what do you want to do but can’t? What would be needed to change that?
• what do you have to do but don’t want to? What would be needed to change that?

When in doubt, doing anything is better than doing nothing. You'll learn something you wouldn't have otherwise which will help with the next move. Repeat until satisfied.
